The Educational Leadership and Management Function of the Foundation has launched a newsletter titled Milestones to document experiences and insights culled from working closely with the Government of Karnataka to strengthen education institutions through intensive management and leadership capacitation. Listed below are the issues of Milestones:
Milestones This issue of Milestones brings you the Namma Shaale experience of community participation in education through the unmediated voices of those closely involved with it. And it also zooms out to present the context and framework in which the efforts are taking place. It documents the experiences of those traditionally excluded from decision-making, sometimes from environments characterized by deep-rooted social and economic divisions. What emerges through the articles is the recognition that the efforts to achieve quality education touch on many other elements in the community's life - and these organic connections must be seen as sources of great strength. |
|
Milestones Studies show that school leadership is second only to classroom instruction in achieving educational outcomes, and that leadership at the school level as well as at levels above the school have a key support role to enable the school to do its job well. Read more about the Management Development Program in the second issue of Milestones. |
